This is my summer 2006 dissertation. The title is Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin: an Electronic Edition of the National Era Version [New URL, as of May 2008], and the project includes both an edition and a five-chapter dissertation.
This is my recent republication of the edition on Professor Stephen Railon’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin and American Culture site. Click “Uncle Tom’s Cabin: the National Era Text” to go to the newspaper edition. Dr. Railton’s edition of the Jewett version is also available from this site.
